Johansen Herman Rauben is a Tanzanian entrepreneur, procurement and supply chain professional, and business leader with extensive experience in logistics, mining operations, occupational health and safety, strategic sourcing, and corporate management. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of JHR General Supplier Company Limited, he provides strategic leadership in delivering reliable procurement, logistics, and supply chain solutions to clients across Tanzania.

Born in 1983 in Kagera Region, Tanzania, Johansen demonstrated determination, discipline, and a strong commitment to personal and professional growth from an early age. He completed his primary education at Mumiterama Primary School (1995–2001) before continuing his secondary education at Ngara Secondary School (2002–2005).

In 2003, while pursuing his secondary education, Johansen joined the Relief to Development Society (REDESO), a community-based organization committed to promoting sustainable development, youth empowerment, community participation, and social welfare. His involvement with REDESO provided valuable experience in community engagement, teamwork, volunteerism, and leadership. This early exposure to development work shaped his lifelong commitment to ethical leadership, sustainable development, and creating positive social impact alongside business success.

Johansen began his professional career in 2006 as a Warehouse Assistant in the Supply Chain Department at Geita Gold Mine, where he gained practical experience in procurement support, warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics coordination, and supply chain management. Between 2008 and 2010, he worked as a Miner at Barrick Bulyanhulu Gold Mine, further strengthening his technical knowledge of mining operations, industrial safety, teamwork, and operational excellence in one of Tanzania’s leading mining companies.

Understanding the importance of workplace safety and operational excellence, Johansen pursued professional development in occupational health and safety. In 2013, he successfully completed General Occupational Safety and Health training at the Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) in Dar es Salaam. He later completed specialized Rescue and Fire Fighting training, enhancing his expertise in emergency preparedness, risk management, and workplace safety. These qualifications continue to influence his leadership approach and his commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards in business operations.

Driven by an entrepreneurial vision and a desire to contribute to Tanzania’s economic growth, Johansen co-founded JHR General Supplier Company Limited in 2020. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a trusted provider of procurement, supply chain, and logistics solutions, serving government institutions, mining companies, construction firms, private organizations, non-governmental organizations, and development partners throughout Tanzania.

JHR General Supplier Company Limited specializes in the supply of industrial equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), building and construction materials, office equipment and stationery, furniture, agricultural supplies, electrical and hardware materials, cleaning products, branding and promotional materials, as well as procurement consultancy, logistics, warehousing, and distribution services. The company is committed to delivering high-quality products and professional services that meet international standards while creating value for its clients and business partners.

As Chief Executive Officer, Johansen has established a corporate culture founded on integrity, professionalism, accountability, innovation, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. He is committed to building long-term partnerships with local and international manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, and development organizations, ensuring that clients receive reliable products, efficient procurement solutions, and exceptional service.

Victor Obadia is a Wildlife Management graduate from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) and an environmental conservation professional dedicated to restoring nature and building resilient communities. He is passionate about environmental conservation, reviving ecosystems, promoting biodiversity, and advancing climate-smart agriculture as a practical climate action solution that improves livelihoods while protecting natural resources.

In recognition of his commitment to conservation, Victor was named a Finalist for Conservationist of the Year – Marine Ecosystems at the WeNaturalists People of Nature Awards 2022, an international recognition issued by WeNaturalists, India.

Victor currently serves as the Co-founder and Program Manager of Tanzania Green Revive (TGR), where he provides strategic leadership in environmental restoration, community engagement, environmental education, and sustainable development initiatives. His work focuses on Developing projects for empowering communities, particularly youth and farmers, to adopt nature-based solutions that strengthen climate resilience, restore degraded ecosystems, and support sustainable livelihoods.

Driven by the belief that healthy ecosystems are the foundation of prosperous communities, Victor actively collaborates with partners, institutions, and local communities to develop innovative conservation initiatives that create lasting environmental and social impact across Tanzania.

Mr. Daudi Jacob Kang’oma is an accomplished Aircraft Engineer, finance executive, and environmental advocate with extensive experience in aviation engineering, financial management, and sustainable development. Born on 8 February 1972, he has built a distinguished career characterized by technical excellence, strategic leadership, integrity, and a strong commitment to environmental conservation.

Mr. Kang’oma completed his primary education in 1987, followed by his Ordinary Level education in 1991 and Advanced Level education in 1994. He pursued his passion for aviation by undertaking professional training in Aircraft Technician/Engineering, graduating in 1999. In 2002, he attained the prestigious Aircraft Engineering Grade Onequalification, demonstrating advanced expertise in aircraft maintenance, inspection, engineering systems, and aviation safety.

Throughout his aviation career, Mr. Kang’oma has consistently applied his technical knowledge to enhance operational reliability, safety, and compliance with international aviation standards. His analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities have made him a respected engineering professional.

Beyond his engineering profession, Mr. Kang’oma is deeply committed to environmental conservation and sustainable development. He actively supports initiatives that promote ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, environmental education, and the sustainable management of natural resources. He believes that protecting the environment is fundamental to improving livelihoods and ensuring a sustainable future for present and future generations.

Mr. Kang’oma currently serves as the Director of Finance of Tanzania Green Revive (TGR), where he provides strategic leadership in financial planning, budgeting, resource mobilization, financial reporting, and organizational governance. He plays a vital role in ensuring sound financial management, accountability, transparency, and compliance with donor and regulatory requirements. His leadership helps strengthen the organization’s capacity to implement impactful environmental and community development programmes across Tanzania.

By combining his engineering expertise, financial management skills, and passion for environmental stewardship, Mr. Kang’oma contributes significantly to Tanzania Green Revive’s mission of advancing sustainable development, restoring ecosystems, promoting climate action, and empowering communities through innovative conservation initiatives.

Mwokozi I. Mwanzalila graduated in 2012 from the University of Iringa, Tanzania (formerly Tumaini University) with a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development.

He began his professional career in 2011 as a three-month intern with the Health for Animals and Livelihood Improvement (HALI) Project at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Following the successful completion of his degree, he was selected to continue with the project as a volunteer for 12 months. In recognition of his commitment, technical competence, and outstanding performance, he was subsequently employed as an Assistant Researcher, serving the HALI Project from 2013 to 2021.

During his occupation with HALI, Mwokozi led and supported a wide range of community-based research and intervention projects addressing human nutrition, livelihoods and socioeconomic development, community health education, and zoonotic diseases across all HALI study sites. He also played a key role in community risk characterization, site assessments, stakeholder engagement, and implementation of field-based research activities.

Mwokozi’s experience in community development and participatory research began in 2009 when he joined Restless Development (formerly Student Partnership Worldwide) as a volunteer immediately after completing his Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education at Kibiti Secondary School in the Coast Region of Tanzania. This early experience strengthened his skills in community mobilization, health promotion, youth engagement, and participatory development approaches.

With over 12 years of research experience, Mwokozi has developed strong expertise in the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative research. He has extensive experience in developing data collection tools, including structured questionnaires, In-Depth Interview (IDI) guides, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) guides, and Key Informant Interview (KII) guides. He has also led and supervised field data collection, community engagement, and research implementation while working with Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) and the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI).

His professional interests include community and public health research, implementation science, social and behavioral research, zoonotic and emerging infectious diseases, One Health, health systems strengthening, and capacity building. He is committed to generating high-quality evidence that informs policy and improves health outcomes in communities.

Perpetua Nyagwaswa is an environmental professional, conservation researcher, and Project Writer at Tanzania Green Revive (TGR). She is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Ecosystem Sciences and Management, building on a strong academic and research foundation in natural resource conservation and ecosystem management.

Perpetua holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Wildlife Management from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), where she developed expertise in wildlife conservation, biodiversity management, ecological research, and sustainable natural resource management. Throughout her academic and professional journey, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing conservation science and promoting evidence-based environmental solutions.

She has two years of professional experience in wildlife research, contributing to field studies, ecological assessments, biodiversity monitoring, wildlife data collection and analysis, and conservation initiatives. Her work has strengthened her practical understanding of ecosystem dynamics, wildlife management, and the importance of integrating scientific research into conservation planning and sustainable development.

As Project Writer at Tanzania Green Revive, Perpetua plays a key role in developing high-quality project proposals, concept notes, technical reports, and donor funding applications. She supports the organization’s mission by translating scientific knowledge into practical, impactful projects that address environmental conservation, ecosystem restoration, climate resilience, biodiversity protection, and sustainable community development.

Her professional interests include wildlife ecology, ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, animal behavior, and nature-based solutions to environmental challenges. She is passionate about promoting sustainable environmental management through research, innovation, collaboration, and community engagement.

Perpetua aspires to become a leading conservation professional, contributing to national and international efforts that protect biodiversity, restore degraded ecosystems, and promote sustainable coexistence between people and nature. Through continuous learning, scientific excellence, and dedication to environmental stewardship, she is committed to creating lasting positive impacts for ecosystems and communities in Tanzania and beyond.

Ibrahim Charles Lissu is a Tanzanian Information Technology professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. He currently serves as the ICT Manager at Tanzania Green Revive (TGR), where he leads the organization’s information and communication technology initiatives in support of its mission and long-term strategic goals.

With strong expertise in ICT systems, digital transformation, website development, and information management, Ibrahim is committed to using technology to strengthen organizational performance and enhance project delivery. He plays a vital role in developing and managing digital solutions that improve communication, streamline operations, and support the successful implementation of TGR’s environmental conservation, climate action, and community development programs.

Through his technical knowledge, innovation, and problem-solving abilities, Ibrahim helps TGR pursue its vision by integrating modern ICT solutions into its projects and daily operations.
